Lu an Fu Town God's Temple, located in Changzhi, Shanxi, North Street, temple road. The City God is one of the most important deities in Chinese religious culture. Historical origin

Layout structure

The central hall is the original structure of the Yuan Dynasty. It was built in the 22nd year of the Yuan Dynasty (1285). It is five rooms wide and six rafters deep. The front eaves and bucket arches are paved six times to make heavy arches. The eaves column and the inner gold column are small octagonal square columns made of stone. The style of the whole building is very strong in the Yuan Dynasty.

The broad front courtyard of the temple is now converted into a garden. There are two ancient locust trees in the central courtyard, with luxuriant branches and leaves and a dragon like shape; one fossil tree is more than 30 meters high; the East and west sides are now the museum exhibition hall.

Throughout the year, famous painters and calligraphers are constantly on display; two large copper censers are presented in the pavilion. The main hall of the central courtyard is tall and spacious, and the four walls are painted beautifully and vividly. In the middle is the new sitting statue of Emperor Yan, which is vivid, tall and powerful. The back yard of the temple is Chenglong's palace. In the main hall, there are colorful statues of the City God, as well as the statues of his grandmother and his subordinates. The statue is tall and has a rational layout. It is not found in the two level of Town God's Temple existing in the country or county. Town God's Temple has now become a sight of Changzhi. Every time domestic and foreign distinguished guests come here, you should have a tour to satisfy your eyes.

Cultural relics protection

On 06 2001, 25, Lu'an Prefecture, Town God's Temple, was approved by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units as an ancient building from Yuan Dynasty to Qing Dynasty.
