Cihu is located in the center of Huangshi City. It has a water surface of 8.4 square kilometers. Its coastline is tortuous, beautiful and fresh. It is said that in ancient times, Cihu got its name because of the "magnetite beside the lake". In 1997, Cihu scenic spot was approved as a provincial scenic spot by the provincial government.

The main scenic spots of Cihu are sleeping beauty, silver carp pier, Chengyue Island, Yiqu garden, Yingqu garden, Yequ garden, etc. Cihu scenic area, steep mountains, water vertical and horizontal, surrounded by mountains and water, each other, beautiful.

Su Dongpo, a scholar of the Song Dynasty, was relegated to Huangzhou because of the Wutai poetry case, the most famous literary prison in the Northern Song Dynasty. His younger brother Su Zhe sailed back to Huangzhou to visit him. Due to the resistance of wind and waves, they went to Cihu for shelter. After hearing the news, Dongpo rushed to Cihu. Su brothers visited Cihu and saw the silver carp pier of "a little mountain in a vast lake", so they tied the boat here. When chanting and singing, people carved their poems on the stele for the Su Gong stone left on the top of the mountain.
