Taizhou cinnabar pile

Zhushadui is located in shanxialang village, Jiangkou Town, Huangyan District, Taizhou city. It is a branch of Fangshan (Yongning mountain). It is named after the red sandstone.

Because it was changed by cinnabar, later generations called it cinnabar pile.

Cinnabar heap quarrying has a long history, which began in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Qing Dynasty. The materials for the construction of Huangyan City by Xue Rengui in the Tang Dynasty and the reconstruction of Huangyan City in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty were all based on cinnabar mound. Year after year of quarrying, what is left to posterity is the magnificent artificial Yao cave, which is made up of a hundred meter high deep and large stone storehouse and dozens of caves. It is said that there is a Longtan on the left side of the cave and Huanglong lives in a flat place, hence the name Panlong cave. Inside the cave, there are twenty-six large and small cangtan pools. The winding plates lead to the secluded depths, just like the Dragon Palace in the water palace. Looking up and looking down, it has different shapes. The deepest water in cangtan is more than 40 meters. It is a deep pool with clear water. The echo is high and the design of the pool wall is strange. It is like a yellow dragon playing in the water, like a mermaid bathing, like a Sirius going to the sea It's amazing. This makes people have to praise the great creativity of the working people, as well as the spirit and tenacious will to strive for thousands of years from the nature.

In 1995, shanxialang village invested 150 million yuan More than ten thousand yuan has been spent on the construction of the Chinese emperors Sculpture Museum in Panlong cave, which shows the ancient emperors, famous men and their historical allusions in the form of sculptures in different dynasties.
