Pingjiang Catholic Church is located in Geliping Town, West District of Panzhihua City. It was built in 1885 and has a history of 117 years. It is one of the buildings with a long history in Panzhihua City. It is also the largest and well managed Catholic Church in Panzhihua. The church is 5 kilometers away from Geliping and 27 kilometers away from the city center. It is surrounded by trees and has a quiet and elegant environment. It is a quiet and holy place.

Today's church not only carries out normal educational activities, but also receives some pilgrims from afar. On Christmas Eve on December 24 every year, thousands of people gather in the church. Outside the church, a Gezhuang dance is held in the courtyard of Jingtang village committee. All the people present are free to join and have a good time.

With the annual "May Day" international Yangtze River rafting festival held in the golden beach of Geliping, the district and town governments regard Pingjiang Catholic Church as an important place open to tourists. At present, Jingtang village committee is raising funds to renovate the village road from 504 power plant to the church, so that foreign tourists can visit and play in the church by car.
