Aldin square

Alding square is located in front of Baotou municipal government building, with Steel Street in the north, financial building in the East, international trade building in the west, and Youth Park, the largest Street Park in the city in the south. Alding square is the third largest artificial square in the world. It was first built in 1989. As an important place for political, cultural and public leisure and entertainment activities in our city, although it has been covered with green trees, due to the outdated infrastructure, especially with the rapid development of urban economy and the continuous improvement of the construction level of large square in our city in recent years, the square can no longer meet the requirements of assembly and leisure, so the transformation is imperative. In 2003, the foundation of the reconstruction project was laid, with a total investment of 16.7 million yuan. Adhering to the principles of people-oriented, simple, solemn, elegant and cordial, on the basis of the original layout, through partial adjustment, using new materials and modern scientific and technological means, the service function of the square was enriched and improved, and the grade and cultural taste were improved, making it a landmark after the reconstruction to show the image of Baotou city Aldin square covers an area of 6.27 hectares, including 24000 square meters of green area and 38400 square meters of hardened area, including 2916 square meters of dry land fountains. What is particularly striking is that a white marble flag pole is built in front of the municipal government building in the north of the square. Aldin square

Located in the center of Baotou new urban area, Aldin square is the third largest artificial square in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and one of the top ten artificial squares in the world. The central area of the square is 62700 square meters, with a total area of 100000 square meters, which exceeds the area of Moscow Red Square and is about one fourth of Tiananmen Square, the largest artificial square in the world. It was built in 1989. The 2008 Beijing Olympic torch relay is the end of Baotou Station.
