Nier Park

Nie'Er park is a park in memory of Nie'Er, a musician of the people. It is said to be the oldest and best park in Yuxi. The air here is very fresh in the morning and at night, and it is a place for many people to exercise. There is a children's paradise in the park, which is suitable for children to play. In the Northeast Memorial area, there is a bronze statue of Nie Er. The bronze statue leans forward, with solemn expression, windbreaker dancing, arms raised high, in a beating posture, standing on the base of the ink jade, as if directing and singing "March of the volunteers".

Nie'Er park is located at the south end of Nanmen Street in Yuxi City, covering an area of 130000 square meters. This is a comprehensive park for culture, rest and entertainment in memory of Nie Er, a musician of the people.

Bronze statue specifications

The bronze statue of Nie'Er is the main body of the memorial area. It faces north from South and is made of tin bronze. It is 2.4 meters high and weighs 1.8 tons. The base of the bronze statue is built on a platform about 2.25 meters above the surrounding area.

The bronze statue of Nie Er, leaning forward with a solemn expression, dancing in a windbreaker and holding his arms high in a clapping posture, stands on the base of the ink jade, as if he is directing and singing the march of the volunteers.

Creation of bronze statue

The bronze statue of Nie Er began to be created at the end of 2007. After many rounds of argumentation and comparison, the whole body statue of Nie Er playing violin designed by the famous sculptor Mr. Yuan Xikun was cast by Chengdu Shuhai Shixing special art Co., Ltd. The bronze statue is 6 meters high and weighs 3 tons. It is made of bronze from Central Yunnan. The top of Nie'Er mountain is 12 meters higher than the water surface of the jade lake, and the base is 5 meters. The bronze statue of Nie'Er is 23 meters higher than the water surface of the jade lake, implying Nie'Er's 23 year life journey

Housing structure

Not far from Nie'Er park is Nie'Er's former residence, which is located at No. 3, Beimen street, Zhoucheng. It is a timber structure building with one floor and one floor.

Nie Er's former residence covers a total area of 96.27 square meters. Facing the street, the downstairs was originally a half brick wall with a guard board outside, and the upper part was a movable wooden window with a pavement. There are still half of the relief patterns on the eaves below the street.

History of former residence

Nie Er's former residence was built by Nie Er's great grandfather Ni Liandeng in the late Qing Dynasty, and spread to Nie Er's father Nie Hongyi. In September 1984, the people's Government of Yuxi City announced that Nie Er's former residence was a municipal key cultural relics protection unit. In March 1992, the people's Government of Yuxi City renovated it, made a statue of Nie Er, established a management organization, and officially opened it to the outside world.
