Zixi mountain scenic spot is located in the west of Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province, 28 kilometers away from Chuxiong City. The whole mountain range of Zixi mountain is a crescent shape from southeast to west to north. As early as before the Song Dynasty, it was said that there were 66 forests, 77 nunneries and 88 temples. It was a famous Buddhist resort at that time. Now it has been turned into a forest park, which is a good place for sightseeing and summer vacation. The forest and exotic trees cover more than 96% of the area. It has more than 1500 kinds of plants and natural scenery, covering an area of 43 square kilometers. It is the largest forest park in Yunnan.

Zixishan Forest Park is divided into five scenic spots: zixiyuan, wansonglin, ziding temple, Gongdelin and jimountaineering ethnic customs area.

The local camellia is unique in Zixi mountain. In the tea garden near ziding temple, there is a mother tree of camellia of Yuan Dynasty. It is said that the variety is Zixi tea, which is more than 600 years old.
