Fulu Temple

Fulu temple is located on Mt. Fulu, about five li southwest of Longtian town. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were temples in Mt. Fulu, which rose and fell several times later. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, there was an old temple on the mountain, while the remaining Fulu temple was founded by Ye Xianggao, a scholar of the University in 1614.

Fulu Temple began to decline in the late Qing Dynasty. In the early years of the Republic of China, due to the warlords' scuffle, the scenic spots in remote areas were gradually destroyed and temples were often stolen. In the 17th year of the Republic of China, monk Shisheng, with the support of Longtian town and Jincun believers, raised money to rebuild the temple and erected a monument to honor the donors. Now the monument still exists. During the "Cultural Revolution", the doors, windows, rafters, columns and bricks of the Buddhist temple were stolen, and the bronze Buddha, steel fairy and bronze bell were smashed and sold. All the remaining trees were cut down. Now the temple is on the verge of collapse.
