Meian

Mei'an is a famous temple in ancient Duanzhou, which is located in the west of Zhaoqing City. It was built in the second year of Zhidao (996) of the Northern Song Dynasty to commemorate Huineng, the sixth patriarch of Zen Buddhism, who planted plum here. The architectural art of mei'an is unique. The main hall retains the architectural style of song wooden structure. It is a very precious Millennium wooden structure in Lingnan City, and has the reputation of "Millennium ancient temple, national treasure".
