Kuiju building

Kuiju building is a large square earth building with a palace like structure, which is quite like Potala Palace from a distance. From a high point of view, the building and the ridge behind connect the city. If a fierce tiger goes down the mountain, kuiju building is the "tiger head". There are two windows on the wall in front of the building, which look like tiger eyes. The middle gate doesn't open at ordinary times. When the guests arrive, they open the middle gate to welcome them. The beauty of kuiju building lies not only in architecture and culture, but also in art. The sculptures, colored sculptures, flowers and birds, figures, landscapes, pavilions and stories in the building are vivid, full of Hakka historical charm and local flavor.

Kuiju building

Kuijuilou is located in hongkeng village, Hukeng Town, Yongding County, Fujian Province. The designer is Wu Yifu, the academician of Hanlin, and he is a brother to the building owner Lin Kuiyang.

It was built in 1834. It has been completed in nearly five years and has a history of more than 160 years. It covers an area of more than 6000 square meters. It has three halls and two falls, with a height of about 15 meters. It now lives in 24 households and 107 people. Over the past 100 years, there have been four people in the building who have passed the examinations of Jinshi, Guanzhi and Qipin, more than 20 college students and more than 40 overseas Chinese. Just as the couplet of Damen says, "kuixinglang has a prosperous civilization and a new atmosphere of gathering his family here.".

Transportation information: Yongding - hongkeng Village: you can buy a ticket to Hukeng Tulou cultural village at Yongding station, 15 yuan per person, about 40 minutes, about an hour;

Xiamen hongkeng Village: if you take a long-distance bus from Xiamen Hubin South Road station and get off at Hukeng station, the ticket office of the scenic spot is on the side of the road. After you buy the ticket, you can walk 500 meters to see the Tulou. Hongkeng is more than 20 kilometers away from Nanjing Tulou. You can play with it and call a motorcycle for 15 minutes.
