Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum

Located in the southwest corner of Shuicheng, it is built on the site of the ancient boat excavation. It is the essence of the whole water town, which is divided into two parts: the ground and the underground.

The three restored ancient ships on the roof are built with traditional Chinese shipbuilding technology, creating a spectacular scene of warships berthing in the harbor. The shipwrecks on the bottom of the sea are the core of the exhibition. The main exhibition is four yuan and Ming ancient ships excavated in 1984 and 2005. In the museum, you will feel and listen to the prosperity of the ancient port.

Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum

Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum is located in the east of Penglai Pavilion in Penglai tourist area, Shandong Province. It was built in 1990 and has three exhibition halls. In 1995, Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum displayed more than 100 cultural relics, including 3 first-class cultural relics and 2 second-class cultural relics. It is the second special museum in China to display ancient ships.

Construction layout

Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum is located in the south of Taiping building, facing south from north. It was built in 1990. It is an antique garden style building, covering an area of 1700 square meters and a building area of 1360 square meters.

There are three exhibition halls in the Museum: one hall is equipped with sand table of Penglai water city (gudengzhou port) and two PVC display boards, which respectively show "ancient Dengzhou port"

"Traffic map at home and abroad" and "change map of Dengzhou port". The second exhibition hall displays the ancient warships of the Yuan Dynasty, the stone and wooden anchorages of the song and Yuan Dynasties, the red sandalwood rudder stock of the Ming Dynasty and all kinds of ancient anchors unearthed in 1984. In the third exhibition hall, 79 cultural relics unearthed from Xiaohai and two bronze cannons cast in 1375 of the Ming Dynasty are displayed. In 1995, Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum displayed more than 100 cultural relics, including 3 first-class cultural relics and 2 second-class cultural relics. It is the second special museum in China to display ancient ships.
