Sandun Temple

Sangdeng temple is a branch of Baiyu Temple of Ningma sect of red religion. It is located in ribo village, shangmeng Township, mengtun River Valley. It was built by master Yahong Zhuba (living Buddha) in 1435 AD and has a history of more than 500 years. The main body of the temple consists of a courtyard with three subsidiary buildings. The three evergreen trees in the courtyard are enough to explain the history of the temple.

There is an annual temple fair in sangdeng temple. It is not only a Buddha worship activity held by the people to commemorate the merits of the construction of sangdeng Temple by master Yahong Zhuba, but also the most solemn sacrificial activity of Tibetan compatriots in a year. Sun Buddha in the afternoon is a Thangka with an area of about 30 square meters and a weight of about several hundred kilograms. There is a sacred stone in the temple. It is a Buddha's handprint that is not found in the temples in Qinghai, Tibet, Ganzi and other places. It is equivalent to the treasure of the town temple.

There are 32 lamas in the temple. They usually study in Jiuzhi Baiyu temple in Qinghai Province.
