Qing hammer Peak National Forest Park

Qinghammer Peak National Forest Park encircles Chengde City and integrates with the famous summer resort and Waiba Temple scenic spots. It covers a total area of 1.59 million mu and is about 2.5 km away from the city. The park has a unique natural landscape, famous for its beautiful rocks and towering Danxia landform.

Pule Temple: the architecture of the whole temple is a combination of Han and Tibetan, the first half is Han style, the second half is Tibetan style, and the main building is Sutra altar, which is the place for assembly, preaching and sacrifice. The main hall is called "Xuguang Pavilion", which looks very much like the temple of heaven praying for new year in Beijing.

Chime hammer Peak National Forest Park: there are many natural landscapes in the forest park, such as chime hammer peak standing in the sky, toad stone with head raised, Luohan mountain with chest exposed, sangguan peak with no clouds and so on. These rock peaks have unique appearance and large volume. Among them, the chime hammer peak is the most peculiar. It is suspended from the cliff and connected with the blue sky. The peak is thick on the top and thin on the bottom, and is shaped like a club.

Anyuan Temple: in shape, it imitates the guerzha temple built on the Bank of Yili River in Xinjiang, also known as Yili temple. The main building, Pudu hall, is covered by black glazed tiles with double eaves and Xieshan. Black tile roofs are extremely rare in temple buildings and royal buildings.

On August 18, 2018, Hebei Provincial Tourism Resources Planning and development quality evaluation committee issued a public notice. According to the evaluation results of the provincial 4A level scenic spot landscape quality evaluation meeting, after research, qinghammering Peak National Forest Park passed the evaluation of creating 4A level scenic spot landscape quality.

Bichuanfeng National Forest Park is a low mountain and hilly area, which is a transition zone between Inner Mongolia platform anticline and Yanshan subsidence zone. In the global orogeny about 70 million years ago, the strata of different times rose to land with the movement of the crust, forming the geological unit of low mountain Jinling. Through the dissolution of magma and carbon dioxide in water, various rock shapes were produced. After long-term weathering and denudation, various strange peaks, rocks, caves and cliffs were naturally formed, forming the Danxia landscape of Chengde.

There are more than 100 kinds of wild flowers such as Rhododendron, Paeonia lactiflora, rose, clove, cherry blossom, mountain chrysanthemum, carnation, and more than 300 kinds of trees such as Pinus tabulaeformis, Acer truncatum, Betula platyphylla, Aspen, spruce, Tilia amurensis in bichufeng National Forest Park.

Bichuanfeng National Forest Park has mandarin duck, golden winged bird, indigo bird, flower swallow, pheasant, yellow bird, cuckoo, deer, Qingyang, roe deer, badger, fox, hare and other nearly 100 kinds of animals.

Qinghammer Peak National Forest Park is located in Chengde City, Hebei Province. It was established in 1993.

Main attractions

Chime hammer peak: it has been about 3 million years since its formation. It stands tall and handsome, straight into the clouds, and thick at the top and thin at the bottom. It is very similar to a washing hammer, so it is commonly known as Bangchui mountain. Bangchui mountain is 596.26 meters above sea level, 38.29 meters high, with an average diameter of 15.04 meters in the upper part and 10.27 meters in the lower part. Its base is 21.13 meters high, 38 meters long and 3-5 meters wide, with a volume of 6508 cubic meters and a weight of 16200 tons. It's one of the best in the world.

At the place 18 meters away from the base of the chime hammer peak, there is a vertical and horizontal Mongolian mulberry at the half waist of the peak. It is more than 300 years old, more than 3 meters high and more than 30 cm in diameter.

Toad stone: there is a raised natural giant stone toad stone 500 meters south of qinghammering peak, about 20 meters long and 14 meters high. There is a transverse stone crack near the cliff. Looking from afar, the stone looks like a toad leaping into the blue sky, with its head raised and its mouth slightly open.

Baoshan Temple: more than 200 meters to the north of qinghammer peak, there is Baoshan Temple called Labi Foguang. It was built in the middle and late Qing Dynasty and presided over by the famous monk Ma Xiang. The temple sits in the West and faces the East, with its back resting on the stone wall residue formed at the same time with qinghammer peak. It is about 4 meters high and 20 meters long. It has only one courtyard and one door. On the high platform of the courtyard, there are three couplets in the main hall. In the hall, there are five Buddha statues: Zong Kaba, the fifth Panchen, the seventh Dalai Lama, the immobile Vajra and Maitreya Buddha. On the south side of the hall, there are two Buddha statues: Jixiang Tianmu and Milarepa.

Ma Xiang's tomb: more than 100 meters southeast of Baoshan Temple, is the tomb tower of Ma Xiang, a famous monk who built Baoshan Temple. After the completion of Baoshan Temple, Ma Xiang lived on the mountain, chanted scriptures, and died and was buried in the southeast of the temple.

Jingchuang: there is a stone building (also known as brick tower) on the northeast slope of qinghammer peak, which is engraved with four ancient characters, four seal characters and dragon patterns. The four ancient characters have not yet been recognized.

Traffic and routes

Bus route: take bus No.10, No.28 in the urban area, get off at Lama village station, enter Village Road in the south of Yan'an, cross the bridge cave, left fork road, 10 minutes to anyuanmiao (uphill on the first road), and there is a cableway to Bangchui mountain at the foot of the mountain.

History and Humanities

There are many myths about the chime hammer peak. One of them says: long ago, Chengde was a vast ocean, and the chime hammer peak was a sea eye. People on the shore made a living by fishing. A sea monster often came out to eat people. A young man killed people and blinded the sea monster's eyes with a harpoon. In a rage, the Dragon King captured the young man into the Dragon Palace and tied him to the back garden, ready to open his belly and dig his heart. The Dragon girl passed by and saw that the boy was beautiful and unyielding, so she was in love with him and decided to rescue him. So he stole the Dragon King's Dinghai needle and took the young man to escape from the Dragon Palace. The Dragon King sent troops to catch up with her, and the Dragon girl threw out her Dinghai needle to block the sea eye, which gradually turned into land. The Dragon King had no choice but to flee to another sea. The Dragon Girl and the young man got married and lived happily. When the Jade Emperor knew about it, he sent troops to capture the Dragon Girl. The Dragon girl would rather die than surrender. She was turned into a mulberry tree and planted on the hillside of Bangchui mountain, which is Dinghai needle. Now this mulberry tree also bears mulberry every year. It is white, big and sweet. The old people said that if they could eat it, the young would live forever, the old would be rejuvenated, the lovers would get married, and the honeymoon couple would live together forever.

There is also a story that Bangchui mountain is a sacred mountain. Hundreds of millions of years old can't stand down. Whoever can touch it can live a long life and earn more money by doing business. I don't know what age Chengde handed down a doggerel: "touch to earn more money, rely on the old and young.".
