Xianju Bridge

Xianju bridge, located in Shuiwei, Xianju village, Xianren Township, is a guanmu arch bridge. It was first built in 1453 (the fourth year of Jingtai period), rebuilt in 1491 (the fourth year of Hongzhi period) and 1563 (the forty second year of Jiajing period), and now rebuilt in 1673 (the twelfth year of Kangxi period). With 18 rooms, 80 columns and single eaves, the bridge is 42.83 meters long, 5.30 meters wide, 12.6 meters high from the water surface and 34.50 meters clear span.

brief introduction

It is 7.5km east of Taishun County, Zhejiang Province. It is also a Hongqiao type arch bridge. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. There is a gallery house on the bridge. The bridge is elevated in the air with exquisite structure.

Xianju bridge has been destroyed by floods and rebuilt many times in history. The bridge was built in 1673, which has a history of more than 300 years. In March 2002, the Xianju bridge maintenance project was officially launched. After more than four months of repair, the project was successfully completed. In order to prevent flood, the repaired Xianju bridge was also raised by 1.5 meters. The restored Xianju bridge looks magnificent and simple, reappearing the charm of the past.

From Luoyang to Xianju, a famous ancient road in Taishun, many cultural relics with profound connotation can be seen along the way. Zhang Tianshu, a scholar of Xianju in the Qing Dynasty, once wrote a magnificent long poem describing the scenery of the ancient road, entitled "the ancient flavor of Xianling". The poem says: "the sun is warm in Luoshan, the flowers are blooming in spring, and the gate of spring meets the road of Xianyuan. Sanyang over the place is the stone pavilion, Yangliuwan deep lock smoke. High and low mountains to see Qingxi, the sky a rainbow degree. The pine forest is separated from the smoke village, where there should be senior people to live... ".

"The stone pavilion is where the three Yangs pass." the dignified and simple stone pavilion stands in the mountains for more than 480 years. It was built in 1515, the 10th year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty. After the stone pavilion, you can walk down the winding and steep stone steps. The scenery along the way is beautiful. "High and low mountains all see Qingxi, the sky a rainbow degree." The "flying rainbow" in the sentence is the famous Xianju bridge. Xianju bridge was first built in 1453, the 4th year of Jingtai in Ming Dynasty, and now it is built in 1673, the 12th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty. It is the longest and largest span wooden arch bridge in Taishun.

"Flying over the bridge, flying over a thousand feet, flying over a rainbow. Back into the river, the waves are broad, and the road is far away. The clear light floats, the shore is empty, the stone color is uneven, the shadow shakes. The mist is broken, and the setting sun is on both sides of the Strait. In the vast setting sun, there are fishermen and woodcutters. " (Xihong on the long bridge) this is a poem written by Zhang Tian to imitate Xianju bridge. Since ancient times, bridges have been a good theme in literary works, such as "the sound of chickens, the moon in Maodian, the footprints of people, the frost in Banqiao" and "the withered vine, the old tree, the crow, the small bridge, the flowing water, the family". Zhang Tianshu's Changqiao Xihong is not entirely written in Hongqiao. Twilight clouds, setting sun, fishermen and woodcutters are all included in the poem, which shows the space full of artistic conception and makes the readers melt into the beautiful mountain scenery. Xianju corridor bridge is the shooting place for Zhou Wanshun's family to send ah Yu to Italy in the TV series Wenzhou family.

One of the famous Taishun corridor bridges. It is located in Xianju village, Xianren Township, Taishun County, 20 miles away from the county seat.

history

Founded in 1453, it has been rebuilt four times. The bridge was destroyed because of the flood. The bridge is rebuilt in the 12th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty, with a total length of 41.83 meters, a width of 4.89 meters, a height of 12.6 meters and a span of 34.14 meters.

According to the records of Taishun fenjianglu, the bridge has 18 houses with 80 columns and single eaves . It is the largest span and the longest history of the existing wooden arch bridge.

In 1982, it was listed as the first batch of cultural relics protection units in Taishun County. Later, it was listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit in Zhejiang Province. In 2006, as one of the 15 individual bridges in Taishun, it became the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
