Changdao navigation museum is the first comprehensive museum on navigation in China. The museum is located in Xianying palace, Miaodao. Museum History

Changdao navigation museum is located in the north of Miaodao village, Miaodao Township, Changdao County. The museum is a group of ancient buildings with Xianying palace as the main body, including Guandi temple and Sanyuan palace. Xianying palace in Miaodao was built in 1122 A.D. in the fourth year of Yihe in the Northern Song Dynasty. After three generations of construction in the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it reached its peak in the reign of Daoguang.

Current situation of Museums

The original building was destroyed during the cultural revolution. The new building was rebuilt in 1985. It is a group of high-rise buildings, divided into three courtyards, with the mountain gate, side hall, front hall, main hall and back Palace (bedroom Hall) as the central axis, symmetrical left and right. The second floor of the front yard is divided into two parts, the middle yard is equipped with East and West Corridor rooms, and the back yard is supplemented by left and right companion rooms.
