Chilai nose Lighthouse

Lighthouse is a product of the Japanese era. It was first built in 1931 and was bombed by Allied planes during World War II in 1943. Until 1963, in order to open Hualien port as an international port, a new white pentagonal concrete building was built near the original tower base as a new tower.
