Fu'an Palace

Fu'an palace is the largest land temple in Southeast Asia. Its predecessor is Jingsheng Pavilion. It was built in Yongli period of Ming Dynasty. At that time, because the residents who came to Taiwan were not acclimatized to the pestilence, they welcomed Fu'an from Quanzhou to protect the village. It has been more than 300 years since then.

Fu'an Palace

There are many ancient plaques in the temple of Fu'an palace. On the right wall of the main hall, "Liu Tidu tablet" is an inscription commemorating Liu Mingdeng's resolution of the "Luofa incident" in the reign of emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty. On the left wall, a piece of lettered Leshi is left by Fu kang'an, governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, who settled the rebellion of Lin shuangwen during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty The Duke of the earth wore dragon robes and official hats, which was the reason why Fu'an palace was not named after Ford. The scale of Fu'an palace was rebuilt in 1980. There is also a famous God money counter in the temple. Believers put gold paper in the mouth of the furnace, and the gold paper will fly into the furnace automatically. It was said to be a miracle in the early days. Later, they knew that when the furnace was made, they calculated the angle and wind direction of the furnace. As long as there was fire in the furnace, the air would inhale the gold paper, and the mystery would be solved In recent years, some temples seem to have built Fu'an palace and gold stoves. Many believers from all over Taiwan come here to offer incense on the second day of the second lunar month and the 15th lunar month.

Traffic information

The bus from Kaohsiung to Hengchun and Kenting will get off at Checheng station and you will see the sign of Fu'an palace. From the south of Kaohsiung, you can go down Tai Road 17 at shuidiliao transfer station in Fangliao Township, and road 1 at Fenggang village transfer station 26. When you enter Checheng, you can get there by turning right.
