history

Daxi is located in the southeast of Taoyuan County, Taiwan, at the intersection of Fuxing mountain and Taoyuan platform. Heping Road Old Street

The old street of Heping Road is close to the old dock of Daxi. Since the Qing Dynasty, it has been the prosperous street of Daxi, with many foreign companies and teahouses. Pujitang

Founded in the 12th year of Guangxu (1886), the temple is dedicated to the emperor Guansheng. The temple still retains the plaques of various sizes since the founding of the temple. Among them, the Buddha statue carved by Lin Qifeng, the master of Tangshan, is the most precious. Every year, on June 24 of the lunar calendar, Guan Dijun's Christmas Day is celebrated and the water table is held in every village. It is very lively, which is commonly known as "Daxi dabaibai".

Iron Shop

There are 4 or 5 blacksmiths in Central Road and Puji Road, making all kinds of knives and hoes. They have a place in the agricultural society in the past. Zhongshan Road Old Street

During the period of Japanese occupation, it was a high-grade residential area inhabited by wealthy businessmen and literati. Its most distinctive feature was that the odd number was the residence of the rich, while the even number was the residence of warehouses and employed workers. Through the changes of the times, most of the street houses have fallen, but the facades are still intact. Among them, the Lanshi of Li Tiezhou, the Wuyi old people of the descendants of Wuyi Lane celebrities, the building business of jiananiuchai round roof and Roman colonnade are the most eye-catching. Songmao tea house

Rongtai

Geely stone store

The stone of dahanxi is the source of stone for the temple building and funeral tombstone of dahanxi. The stone with high hardness can create skilled stone beaters. In addition to superb carving skills, they also need to have the foundation of calligraphy and painting. Jili stone shop is the only stone beater in the old street, which still inherits this traditional skill and is more precious.
