Yanerwo scenic spot in Urumqi

Yanerwo scenic spot in Urumqi city is located in the southern suburb of Urumqi city. It starts from the east of Yanerwo road in the East, ends at Lanxin railway in the west, starts from quarry railway in the South and ends at the intersection of Yanerwo gas station in the north, covering an area of about 350 hectares. Yanerwo scenic spot is the only natural scenic forest in our city. It is 5km long from north to South and 2km wide from east to west. Ulmus pumila was the main forest, followed by poplar, willow and Rosa and other shrubs, of which the old trees accounted for 40%. Urumqi martyrs cemetery is located in Yanerwo scenic spot in the southern suburb of Urumqi, covering an area of more than 700 mu. It was built on July 1, 1956 by Chen Tanqiu, one of the founders of the Communist Party of China, Mao Zemin, Lin Jilu, Qiao Guozhen, Wu Maolin and other revolutionary martyrs who died in Xinjiang during the Anti Japanese war. It is a national key martyr memorial building protection unit and one of the "100 national patriotism education demonstration bases".
