Wanyao village in Dapu is rich in water resources and produces high-quality porcelain clay. Since the Ming Dynasty, Wen and Xie people have been operating kilns to produce blue and white porcelain. Although the relocation in the early Qing Dynasty made the kilns once deserted, it gradually recovered after the relocation was relaxed. In the 13th year of Kangxi (1674), the Hakka Ma people who moved south to Dapu bought kilns from the Wen family. In the middle and late Qing Dynasty, Wanyao village's ceramic industry had a large scale, and its products were sold to Jiangmen. However, after the founding of the Republic of China, the ceramic industry in Wanyao village gradually declined due to the competition of cheap products from kilns in coastal counties, and stopped production in 1932.
