Sansiantai

--It is said that Li Tieguai, LV Dongbin and he Xiangu, the three immortals of the eight immortals, passed by the island and had a rest on it, hence the name sanxiantai.

--Sanxiantai island has become an offshore island due to seawater erosion. In 1987, an eight arch sea crossing bridge was built to connect sanxiantai and the island. It is a very famous scenic spot on the east coast.

Sansiantai

Sanxiantai, a famous tourist attraction in Taitung County, Taiwan, is located about three kilometers northeast of Chenggong town. It is composed of offshore islands, coral reef coast and gravel coast, covering an area of about 22 hectares. Due to less human disturbance, it is also an important base for the study of coastal plant ecology and is listed as a nature reserve. Sanxiantai is mainly composed of volcanic rocks, surrounded by coral reefs, coupled with weathering and sea erosion, showing a unique rock landscape, which is associated with the legend, forming sanxianniche, feilongjian, crystal well, xianjianxia, Hehuan cave, Taiye pool, mannan spring and fishing platform.

On the north side of the promontory is a rare pebble beach. When the waves hit the beach, thousands of fist sized pebbles collide with each other, which is shocking.

These gravel after alluvial weathering, round and even, is a natural massage trail. Sanxiantai is rich in plant landscape, such as baishuimu, bindaodou, Lintou, Taiwan Haizao, etc. this plant is listed as a nature reserve. In order to avoid tourists' damage, a elevated trestle trail around the island has been built. In addition, there are almost no artificial buildings on the island, so the original style is well preserved. The nearby sea area is rich in fish. It is a fishing ground and also a famous place for rock fishing.

Sanxiantai has three from north to south, but only two from the West. It is famous in Eastern Taiwan. The three reefs are like three giants guarding the sea.

At high tide, sanxiantai becomes an offshore island with many kinds of plants on it. At low tide, people can walk to the reef and climb on it. They can not only watch the tropical fish swimming among the coral reefs, but also overlook the vast scenery of the Pacific Ocean and sky, which makes people forget to return.

Tourism information

From Taitung railway station, take the dingdong passenger sea line bus to Jingpu, and get off at sanxiantai or shiyusan. There are not many times. You can also take Taiqi or dingdong passenger to Chenggong Town, and then take the dingdong passenger bus to Changbin and Pu, and get off at sanxiantai or shiyusan. There is no hotel on the island, but there is a flat place for camping.

Traffic information: sanxiantai is located 5 kilometers northeast of Chenggong Town, Taidong County, about 64 kilometers away from Taidong city.

1. Take the Taiwan Railway to Taidong station, then transfer to the dingdong and Hualien passenger sea line buses to Changbin, Jingpu or Hualien, and get off at sanxiantai station.

2. Tourists from Hualien can take the dingdong and Hualien passenger sea line buses to Taitung at Hualien railway station and get off at sanxiantai station.

3. Take Taiwan Railway to Taidong station, transfer to Taiwan Haoxing bus and get off at sanxiantai recreation area.
