Egg Island

Egg island has gentle terrain and mild climate. The island is rich in water and grass, which is a paradise for all kinds of birds. Egg Island

Bangongcuo egg island is located in bangongcuoli, the most western part of Tibet Autonomous Region. It is an island surrounded by water in the middle of a lake.

Qinghai Lake egg Island

In the northwest corner of Qinghai Lake, at the junction of Gonghe County and Gangcha County, there is a small town called Bird Island town. The town is located in the Buha River Delta, near the Qinghai Lake, where there are two islands of different sizes and shapes, one east and one west, facing each other, beside the lake. These two beautiful islands are the world-famous bird island. Bird island is a unique breeding center for birds in Asia. It is the first of the eight bird reserves in China and can be called "the kingdom of birds". There are two bird islands. The small island in the west is called haixishan, also called Xiaoxishan. It is also called egg island because it is the place where migratory birds lay eggs. The big island in the East is called haixipi, also called cormorant island.

It is said that from March to April every year, migratory birds such as geese, ducks, cranes and gulls from South China and Southeast Asia come here one after another to build their nests; from May to June, eggs are everywhere on the island, and young birds are flocking in groups, making a lot of noise. At this time, there are more than 30 kinds of birds on the island, with a number of more than 165000. From July to August, the birds fly in the blue sky and swim on the lake in cool autumn. They begin to move south at the end of September. In order not to destroy the breeding environment of birds, but also to make it convenient for tourists to watch, in 1986, the Qinghai provincial government allocated 600000 yuan to build facilities on the island, such as underpasses, bunkers and lookouts, for tourists to watch. The surface is covered with sand and stone. In the observation tower, you can see the spectacular scene of migratory birds gathering and bird eggs everywhere. In the bunker of egg Island, there is a photo exhibition of bird island, which shows the magnificence of bird island.
