Suogezang Temple

This Gelug monastery of Tibetan Buddhism is built on the mountain with magnificent architecture. A golden Buddha statue of master zongkaba and 16 relic skulls of master zongkaba are worshipped in the temple. It is the holy land of Gelug Sect. The scattered Sutra halls and monasteries make the temple buildings look like a small village, where about one or two hundred monks practice. Usually, few tourists visit here, tired of seeing the temples with strong commercial atmosphere, the original flavor here will never let you down.

Here is also the best place to enjoy the first bay of the Yellow River in the sunset. It must be an unforgettable experience in this life to climb the mountain bag behind the temple at dusk and enjoy the magnificence of the Yellow River.

Traffic information: it's just beside the first bay of the Yellow River. You can walk there. The traffic to the first bay of the Yellow River is not very convenient. There are several choices

1. Charter a car from Ruoergai County, about 150-200 yuan a day;

2. It takes 1.5 hours to get to Tangke village at Zoige passenger station, and the ticket price is 23 yuan;

3. Charter a car from Hongyuan (76km away from Hongyuan), about 250 yuan one way;

4. The shuttle bus from Hongyuan to Zoige gets off at Tangke Township and then walks for 7-8 kilometers
