Daqingshan wildlife park, formerly known as Qingcheng Park, was established in 1958. In early 2005, the Hohhot municipal Party committee decided to move the park with financial funds. It was renamed "Daqingshan wildlife park" and managed by Hohhot zoo management office.

Daqingshan Wildlife Park

Daqingshan wildlife park is located in the northern suburb of Hohhot City, near Daqingshan in the north. The reason why it is located here is because of its convenient transportation, unique terrain and landform. Externally, it is adjacent to Hubao Expressway in the south, huwu highway in the West and hongshankou in the East, and is at the intersection of expressways; internally, it only takes 40 minutes to take public transportation from the urban area, and is in the suburbs of the urban area.

General situation

The overall planning covers an area of about 12300 mu, and the first phase of the project covers an area of about 9100 mu. It has unique and rich landforms such as plains, hills and mountains (about 2100 mu of plain landforms and 7000 mu of mountain landforms), with a greening area of about 7826 mu, accounting for 86%. These different and continuous terrains not only provide convenient conditions for the semi wild breeding of animals, but also greatly enrich the scenery, observability and rich and diverse ways of viewing the exhibition (walking, riding, plank road). The predecessor of Daqingshan wildlife park is Hohhot zoo. The park is divided into four scenic spots: front of the gate, green rain morning, human and nature, and wild tour. Among them, the two scenic spots of human nature and wild tour are mainly about animal domestication, reproduction and exhibition. In line with the concept of "harmonious coexistence between human and nature", most of the animals in the two scenic spots are scattered in the mountains. The functions of the two scenic spots are both the same and complementary. The wild tour mainly embodies the wolf, the master of the natural soul of grassland culture, supplemented by other beasts to make tourists feel uncomfortable The same, wild journey with grassland style; people and nature are mainly based on animal performance and small animal free range. Tourists can immediately relax, touch and caress animals after the wild journey. This visible and invisible gap not only meets the tourists' inner needs for excitement and happiness, but also meets the tourists' enjoyment of different senses. One of the most impressive scenic spots is the wild tour. Tourists can see wolves feeding along the way by the sightseeing bus. They can also see tigers, lions, black bears and other meat eating beasts resting or foraging on both sides of the sightseeing bus to experience the wonders of nature from a close distance. The scenic spots in front of the gate and Qingcong Yuchen also focus on animal breeding, but at the same time, they combine popular science education, quality training education and catering and entertainment contents with national characteristics to show the grassland culture, greatly enrich the landscape and functions of the park, change the previous situation of single function, and increase the fun of visiting the park.
