Development history

In ancient times, Zhenze area was a lagoon and shallow bay. It was a flood at the beginning, a swamp at the end, and a field at the end. The ancestors reclaimed, scattered and gathered into villages.

In the 29th year of Tang Kaiyuan (741), Zhang jingzun, the governor of Qizhou, set up Zhenze museum here. The name of Zhenze was first found in historical records.

After Liang Kaiping three years (909) divided into Wujiang County, Zhenze is.

In the early years of Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty (1131), it was an important place for the emperor to set up an inspection department, which was the town. In the song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the site of Zhenze inspection department.

During Chenghua (1465-1487) of Ming Dynasty, the number of households in Zhenze increased to 3400. In Hongzhi's wujiangzhi, Zhenze became one of the first four towns in Wujiang (the other three were Pingwang, Tongli and Lili).

During the reign of Jiajing (1522-1566), "Beizhi and Guoyan, with about 800 or 900 residents, and Fanping in the west of Shiyi", became an important town in the southwest of the county. In the annals of Zhenze County written by Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, the market situation of Zhenze at that time was described as "the scale of buildings and the collection of department stores". In 1720, zhanze county was established in Wujiang. Zhenze ancient town was under the jurisdiction of Suzhou.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Zhenze ancient county was abandoned and entered Wujiang county.

In the Song Dynasty, Confucianism had been established in Zhenze Town, and the style of study was magnificent, such as Daoguang's Zhenze town annals, which stated that "the three sages of Song Dynasty set up teaching here, while people learned poetry and books, and people learned poetry and books, and people heard string recitation, so they almost went up in the future." In the first year of song Baoyou (1253), Shen Yifu planned to build Sanxian temple in the west gate of the town, "to build a private school, to set up a bright future, and to make progress in teaching.". In the Yuan Dynasty, Zhenjian Confucianism, also known as zhenxue, set up a teacher and two tutors, and took in 25 students. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, academies, private schools and private schools were popular in the whole town and nearby villages. In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, Zhenze town was in the forefront of Wujiang County in setting up new education. Shuangyang Temple Fair

Shuangyang temple fair is a cross provincial and Cross County Water Festival. It started in the middle of Qing Dynasty and was held once every ten years. The last two recorded events were held in 1911, the third year of Xuantong in the late Qing Dynasty. The next one was originally scheduled to be held in 1921. Due to the tense situation and social unrest, and the opposition of intellectuals, it was held in 1924. Shuangyang meeting originated in Shuangyang village, 5 miles east of Zhenze town (called Shuangyang city in Ming Dynasty).

Tea house morning meeting

Teahouses routinely brew Yuanbao tea from the first to the third day of the lunar new year, that is, put two green fruits (fresh olives) on the top of the teapot lid. Olives symbolize Yuanbao, implying "Attracting Wealth" and "double happiness". Yuanbao tea is a new year's gift for tea customers from the owner without additional tea money. Olives can be chewed, or mashed and brewed into tea by the waiter, with a clear taste.
