The Tropic of Cancer Sign Park is located about 5 km east of Guiping City, Guangxi, next to Nanwu secondary road, Xiaowen village, Shizui town. It is named after the park built on the Tropic of cancer. The first Tropic of cancer sign tower in Guangxi was built in the park. The main project was started on November 1, 1996 and completed on June 21, 1997.

In February 2020, in order to express our gratitude to the medical staff, the park will be open to the medical staff and their parents, spouses and children free of charge from the date of the restoration of the park to December 31, 2020.

Introduction of Tropic of cancer

Tropic of cancer (Tropic of cancer) is the astronomical dividing line between the tropics and the north temperate zone. The Tropic of cancer traverses Taiwan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan provinces, with a total length of more than 2000 kilometers. In Guangxi, it passes 16 cities and counties, including Wuzhou, Guiping, Shanglin, Pingguo and Napo, with a length of more than 500 kilometers.

There are color fountains and exhibition halls of astronomical science knowledge in the park, which are popular science education bases for people to intuitively understand nature. This sign covers an area of 2462 square meters and is 17.2 meters high. It is the first sign of Tropic of cancer in Guangxi. It is funded by the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the people's Government of Guigang City and the people's Government of Guiping city. The surveying and Mapping Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region selected the site and contracted the construction. The main project was started on November 1, 1996 and completed on June 21, 1997.
