Liufeng Lake Nature Reserve

Liufeng Lake Nature Reserve Liufeng Lake Natural Ecotourism Area is located at the foot of Liufeng mountain in the upper reaches of Muling River. The tourism area is 11km2 in the Liufeng Lake Nature Reserve of Muling City, 80km south of Muling town. It is adjacent to Heping forest farm and Wangqing of Jilin Province in the south. Liufeng lake is named after the water body surrounded by six peaks. Its predecessor is Tuanjie reservoir. It was approved as a provincial nature reserve by the provincial government in 1996. The landscape of forest water area is the background of natural eco-tourism, and the relics of Anti Japanese Union are the background of human history.

Liufeng Lake Nature Reserve

Liufeng mountain

Located in the northwest of the tourist area, the highest altitude is 726 meters. It is named after Liufeng lake, which is arranged from north to south. The shape of the mountain is round and covered by dense forest. From afar, Lianjin is undulating and lush.

Guishan. Located on the west side of Liufeng lake, the mountain is like a tortoise entering the water. Its body is covered with sparse forests, and its head is covered with dense irrigation. It has been stretched into the water. Its shell seems to be moving slowly into the water under the breeze of sunset.

Liufeng Lake

Located in the upper reaches of Muling River, it is a high mountain reservoir formed by the dam intercepting Muling River. The lake is deep and green. The breeze blows and ripples layer upon layer. From time to time, fish jump on the mountain surface, which makes people relaxed and happy.

Liufeng mountain spring

It is located in the dense forest on the west side of Liufeng. Starting from the reservoir, you can reach it by walking along the winding road for about 2 km. The spring water is clear and transparent, the entrance is sweet, and it is surrounded by dense forests, with wild flowers all over the place.

The area has high forest coverage and rich tree species. The main tree species are birch, oak, Korean pine, white pine, etc. Precious tree species are Fraxinus mandshurica, Juglans mandshurica, yellow pineapple and yellow elm. The original forest is located in the south of the area, and there are parent trees. The different morphological characteristics of trees make the forest landscape rich and varied.

Wetland animals and plants

One kilometer north of the reservoir, there is a wetland landscape. Here, the mountains are full of flowers and birds. You can see all kinds of precious birds and animals, such as long necked waterbirds, swans, mandarin ducks, pheasants, pheasants and so on. Sometimes they stand quietly, sometimes they fly low over the water, showing a picture of leisure and free mountains.

Fishing area

In the fish pond to the north of the reservoir, there are many kinds of fish, such as carp, catfish, crucian carp, silver carp, etc. Here, visitors can enjoy the pleasure of fishing and feel the harmony of nature.

Nature Zoo

There are abundant plant resources and good natural environment in the area, which create good living conditions for wild animals. There are 5 kinds of national class II protected birds such as swans and otters, as well as national class I protected animals such as Amur tiger and sika deer, which can be called a natural zoo.

Reservoir dam

The dam site is located in the north of Liufeng, with a total length of 250 meters, a height of 35 meters and a width of 5 meters. It is a clay core earth rock dam. According to the design of the once-in-a-hundred-year flood, there is a hydropower plant under the dam, which is equipped with three 250 kW units. The dam is magnificent with bright lights at night. The scene is very spectacular. There is a spillway in the East, with a net width of 30 meters at the bottom, and a single span 40 meter double curvature arch bridge at the top, with a width of 7 meters. It is the traffic hub leading to the dam.

Anti Japanese union site

Located in the west of liufenghu mountain, between the high mountains and Junling mountains, is the camping site of the Anti Japanese soldiers. Famous generals Zhou Baozhong, Chen Hanzhang, Jin Richeng and so on have their names here.
