Miaodaoshan National Forest Park

Miaodaoshan National Forest Park is located in the southwest of Yuexi County, Anhui Province, with a total area of 3000 hectares. It is divided into five scenic spots: juyunfeng, zushifeng, ziliuyuan, nanxiyuan and Longmen gorge. In the park, the mountains are emerald, the forest sea is vast, the gorge is deep and the stream is murmuring.

Transportation: you can take a bus from Hefei travel agency Station (next to the traffic Hotel) and take a bus at 7:00 and 7:30 in the morning. When you get to Yuexi County, you can take a bus to miaodaoshan from the station.

Miaodaoshan National Forest Park

Miaodaoshan National Forest Park is located in the southwest of Yuexi County, Anqing City, Anhui Province, at the junction of Maoshan, Dianqian and Hetu.

Miaodaoshan is the birthplace of Linji, the founder of Zen Buddhism. It was called miaoguang Shandao at that time.

The forest coverage rate of miaodaoshan National Forest Park is up to 98%, which is divided into seven scenic spots, including juyunfeng, zushifeng, jinbisi, ziliuyuan, nanxiyuan, Miaodao Grand Canyon, Longmen Grand Canyon, and two leisure resorts, namely xianjiping and xi'anping. The main scenic spots are: stone lion roaring moon, ancestral cave, solitary tower soaring to the sky, stone drop fairy fat, flying jade mast, stone boat covering cup, immortal resting trace, natural stone mirror, wonderful Buddha light, crystal curtain after rain, etc.

Location context

Miaodaoshan National Forest Park is located in Yuexi County of Anhui Province in the hinterland of Dabie Mountains. Its geographical coordinates are 116.07323 E and 30.82917 n. It is adjacent to Wang Buwen's former residence in the East, Huating Lake scenic spot in the south, Sikong mountain and Tianxia scenic spot in the West and Mingtang mountain in the north. The total area is 3000 hectares.

Miaodaoshan National Forest Park is a typical Zhongshan landform, surrounded by two lions. Juyunfeng, the main peak, is 1465 meters above sea level. It is one of the 69 high mountains over 1000 meters in Yuexi County.

Miaodaoshan National Forest Park is located in the humid monsoon climate zone of north subtropical zone, with four distinct seasons. The climate is cool and humid, with an annual average temperature of 14.2 ℃, and the highest temperature in summer is only 24 ℃.

Resources

As of May 2013, there are 20000 mu natural secondary forests in miaodaoshan National Forest Park. There are more than 2000 species of wild animals and plants, including more than 60 species of rare plants such as Rhododendron, Liriodendron, xiangguoshu, gingko, Pinus tabulaeformis in Dabie Mountains, and more than 20 species of rare animals such as giant salamander, Swertia, and kitten.

Scenic spots

Juyunfeng scenic spot

Juyunfeng scenic spot is one of the main scenic spots of Miaodao mountain, located in the west of Miaodao mountain. There are jade rabbit moon, stone vein rock, Panlong cave, miaobishenghua, shishixiaoyue, Shamao stone, peacock Kaiping, Jieyi pine, Qixian pine, Tiansheng stone Buddha, Buddha worship platform and other major scenic spots in the scenic area.

Zushifeng scenic spot

Zushifeng scenic spots mainly include zushijian, zushidong, Jinbi temple, Tingtao Pavilion, Zhenlong tower, Feilai Yugui, Shidi Xianzhi and so on. Among them, Miaodao mountain is the second highest peak after juyun peak, with an altitude of 1432 meters.

Nanxiyuan scenic spot

Nanxiyuan scenic spot is located in the south of miaodaoshan. It is the largest scenic spot in miaodaoshan National Forest Park, about 5 kilometers long.

Xieyin waterfall is the first waterscape of nanxiyuan, with a drop of about 30 meters; Jiuqu feicui waterfall is 58 meters high, with water falling layer by layer; Chuanxin waterfall, with water flowing down from the top of the rock, is divided into three hanging Bailian, forming a huge "Chuan" character, hence its name; Xiangfei Valley, with the main peak in the north and xiahekou in the south, is 4.5 kilometers deep, which is named after the seclusion of the fourth Prince of song Renzong and the talented lady Xiangfei.

Most of the middle and lower sections of nanxiyuan are Shentan waterfalls, known as "nine waterfalls and thirteen pools". The waterfalls mainly include Yubei lake, Zhenyin lake, Feilong waterfall, Sun Moon waterfall, etc.

Ziliuyuan scenic spot

Located in the eastern part of Miaodao, ziliuyuan scenic spot has many scenic spots, such as forest bathing beach, qisonggu, Tianchi yingyue, ziliuyuan and hupishi.

Little Henan scenic spot

Xiaohe'nan scenic spot is located at the south foot of miaodaoshan, in Shuanghe village of Wuhe Town, and also at the entrance of miaodaoshan nanxiyuan scenic spot. There are Liuxing hall, aoshang old house, Lichong xiawu, Shuikou Pavilion, Hedong Huawu, Wanger house, Jiangwu, Qianlong forbidden stele and other ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as the tomb of Yongwang cizhao, the fourth son of Chongzhen, Zhulan village, Guosheng ancestral hall and other scenic spots.

Development and construction

In September 1992, the former Ministry of forestry approved the establishment of National Forest Park.

In August 2010, the national development and Reform Commission allocated 15 million yuan and 14.8 million yuan for local supporting investment to build 6.5 kilometers of miaodaoshan tourist highway and a 220 meter tianxianhe bridge.

In May 2014, it was approved as a national AAAA tourist attraction.

Tour route

Route from other places to Yuexi County:

① Starting from Wuhan, Hubei Province, enter Yuexi along national highway 318, and reach the west gate of miaodaoshan scenic spot through Baimao town and Hetu town;

② In the direction of Hefei, from Hejie Expressway to Qianshan, to LiuQian Expressway to Yuexi, or from heliuye Expressway to Lu'an, to LiuQian Expressway to Yuexi;

③ Starting from Nanjing, Ma'anshan, Wuhu and Tongling, along the Yangtze River Expressway to Anqing, then to he'an Expressway to Gaohe, then to Hejie Expressway to Qianshan, and then to LiuQian Expressway to Yuexi;

④ Starting from Shanghai and Zhejiang, we will go to Wuhu along Jiangsu Zhejiang Anhui Expressway and Xuanguang expressway, then to Anqing along Yanjiang expressway, then to Gaohe along he'an expressway, and from Hejie Expressway and LiuQian Expressway to Yuexi.
