Qiqihar Forest Park

Qiqihar Forest Park is established on the basis of Qiqihar youth forest farm. It belongs to forestry land, with 17.46 hectares of forest land. It is located in Songnen Plain, surrounded by farmland. There is a small lake nearby, 2.5km long and 1.3km wide. The forest is dominated by Larix gmelinii, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and Populus. The age of the forest is about 40 years. The average height of the forest canopy is 6m, and the maximum height is 12m. The average diameter of the trunk is 16cm, and the maximum diameter of the trunk is 35cm. The tree density is 1000 plants / ha. The soil is carbonic black soil in the middle layer. There are more than 100 kinds of wild animals in the forest, and more than 5000 pheasants are wild breeding.

Qiqihar National Forest Park was approved by the former Ministry of forestry in 1992. Qingsong hunting ground in Heilongjiang Province was approved by Heilong Province in 1988. In 2002, it was rated as a national "AA" tourist area. It enjoys the same high reputation as the Red Crowned Crane in Zhalong Nature Reserve and Mingyue Island, the sister island of Taiyang Island, in the western region of Heilong Province

Qiqihar Forest Park is located in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. It is a park built on the basis of Qiqihar youth forest farm and belongs to forestry land.

Development history

Qiqihar National Forest Park was approved by the former Ministry of forestry in 1992. Qingsong hunting ground in Heilongjiang Province was approved by Heilong Province in 1988. In 2002, it was rated as a national "AA" tourist area. The Red Crowned Crane in Zhalong Nature Reserve and Mingyue Island, sister island of Taiyang Island, enjoy the same high reputation in the western region of Heilong Province and are rated as one of the three major tourism features of Qiqihar.

Main attractions

It was the only one in the country to imitate the collective farm of the former Soviet Union. The first owner of the farm was Gao Heng, then mayor. With a total area of 4660 hectares, after decades of development and construction, a large area of forest has been cultivated, forming a unique forest landscape in the western region of Heilongjiang Province. It has beautiful scenery all the year round, waves of pines, pleasant scenery, deep forest and secluded road. There are more than 30 kinds of birds in the forest, such as pheasant, turtledove, wild duck, pine duck, wild goose, Xique, sand Banji, wolf and fox. There are more than ten kinds of small wild animals, such as rabbits.

There are 6 scenic spots and 20 scenic spots in the area, including forest landscape area, skiing and swimming area, hunting area, flower viewing area, fishing and deer watching area, and catering and entertainment area.

Tourists from Russia, the United States, Bulgaria, Japan and other countries often come to the hunting ground in winter. Every weekend, tourists from the province and the city flock to the countryside, or hunt, or fish, or taste the mountain village style farm food, or watch the Daur folk dance, eat mutton, or ski in the forest, or stroll in the forest, listen to the birds' song, and watch the pheasant dance!

Tourism information

The tourist area is located on the vast Songnen Plain, the North Bank of Nenjiang River, meilisdaur District of Qiqihar City, and the youth forest farm of Qiqihar city. The tourist area is 40 km away from the center of Qiqihar, with convenient transportation, extending in all directions, and 6 km away from national highway 301. Qicha highway passes through the site. The asphalt pavement leads directly to the tourist area. It's only a 40 minute drive from the city center to the tourist area.
