Gedengqugulin Temple

Gedengqugulin temple is located in Nanmulin County of Xigaze, 1km away from the county seat, with an altitude of 3800m. During the reign of the fifth Dalai Lama, it was converted to Gelug Sect, and its name was changed to gedengqugulin Temple (meaning gedengshujingyuan). It is one of the 13 conversion temples. There are the great Sutra hall and six halls. The great Sutra hall provides statues of Sakyamuni and the third khumbrasan tuden, as well as walking sticks, tea bowls and rice bowls used by Milarepa.
