Time: 2022-01-29 16:09:47 Author: ChinaWiki.net

Wang Jiaxiang's former residence is the place where Wang Jiaxiang, an important early leader of our party, a great Marxist and an outstanding proletarian revolutionist, was born and lived as a teenager. It is located in Houan township of Jing County, 45 kilometers away from the county seat. It's surrounded by mountains and a vast expanse of smoke trees. The green bamboo is hairy and the scenery is very beautiful. The former residence is an ordinary folk house in southern Anhui, with three rooms and two compartments. There is a courtyard in front and a flower garden in the courtyard. The flowers and trees are mixed in the courtyard. The first compartment is a study. Although the study is small, it is concise and elegant, and the window is bright and clean. It is also said that "the elegance of a room is not so great as the fragrance of flowers.". Wang Jiaxiang spent his childhood and youth here. He first went to Liuxi primary school. After graduating from primary school, he studied with Wang Huijiu and Mr. Wang tanren for one year. In 1920, he left his hometown and went to Nanling County Leyu middle school for junior high school. Later, he went to Wuhu St. James middle school for senior high school. He did not go to Shanghai to study in the middle school attached to Shanghai University. Wang Jiaxiang was fond of learning and thinking since he was a child. He had a clear sense of love and hate. He hated the current social evils like a grudge. He sympathized with the hunger and hardship of the poor people. Everything around his hometown is deeply imprinted in his young heart. Wang Jiaxiang's former residence was listed as a provincial key cultural relic protection unit in 1986. Wang Zhen, former vice president of the people's Republic of China, inscribed the gate of "Wang Jiaxiang's former residence" in his own handwriting. The former residence displays Wang Jiaxiang's life and study tools as a teenager and the photos of his major revolutionary activities in his life for people to visit.
