Former residence of Zhao Yi

Zhao Yi's former residence is at No. 8, qianbei'an. Zhao Yi, a famous historian and poet of the Qing Dynasty, together with Yuan Mei and Jiang Shiquan, is known as the three great masters of Jiangzuo. His hometown was originally in Daixi Township, Wujin County. Yi moved to this house after 57 years old and lived there for 31 years. He died in the house in the 19th year of Jiaqing. The former residence is now a cultural relic protection unit of the city.

In the 26th year of Qianlong's reign, he went to the magistrate of Guangzhou. After 57 years old, he moved to this house and lived there for 31 years. The original flat house of the former residence has five entrances, but now the first and fifth entrances have been destroyed. There are two sedan hall, five hall and three Hall for the book writing office "Zhanyi hall". The original "tanhuaji" and the famous calligrapher Wang Wenzhi's plaque "Zhanyi hall" have been lost. There are also three study rooms in Xishou.

He was close to Yuan Mei, so he was also called "three masters of Xingling school in Qian Jia period" together with Yuan Mei and Zhang Wentao.

Oubei Shihua systematically reviews 10 poems, such as Li Bai, Du Fu, Han Yu, Bai Juyi, Lu You and Su Shi.

There are more than 4800 poems written by Zhao Yicun, among which five character ancient poems are the most distinctive. There are 53 volumes of poetry anthology, Oubei poetry, 22 historical notes, etc.
