Anjula mountain

The 4, 468 meter anjula pass is a bit of a surprise. Unlike many famous mountain passes, which are steep and undulating, the anjula pass is surprisingly gentle. It is the anjula mountain pass, which belongs to the boshula mountains and is the watershed between the Nujiang River and the Yarlung Zangbo River. After crossing the pass, you will enter the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin from the Nujiang River Basin.

Major accident

When you look around the anjula mountain pass, you can see one grassland after another everywhere. Between the grasslands is a small pool, which is called Haizi by the local people. Anjula mountain looks calm and beautiful, but in fact, it also has violent attacks from time to time. According to Guo Chunhai, a Sichuan native who has lived there for more than 20 years, there was a large-scale avalanche near anjula mountain pass in 1996, which killed 57 people on the spot.

It's about 20 kilometers from anjula mountain pass down to Xipo valley. There is a very dangerous section of collapse: one side of the narrow road is a chilling deep valley, the other side is a loose cliff, and there may be stones falling down at any time. In those years, relevant experts built the Fengyu bridge - a concrete roof was built above the highway, and a wall was built on the side facing the deep valley, which was equivalent to putting safety helmets on the vehicles passing by. In the car corridor, the light comes from the gap between the shed roof and the wall, which makes people have an illusion of unreal, as if they are playing the best racing game.

Natural change

At the foot of anjula mountain lies the famous Ranwu town. Ranwu town gets its name from the more famous Ranwu lake, which is very close to it. Compared with anjula mountain pass, the elevation of Ranwu lake has dropped to 3900 meters.
