Guiqing mountain is a national AAAA scenic spot and National Forest Park, with a total area of 36 square kilometers. It is historically known as "Guiqing fairyland". It is composed of two scenic spots, Guiqing mountain and Guiqing gorge. It is the leading natural landscape scenic spot in Northwest China, 36 kilometers away from Zhangxian County. In the scenic area, there are many peaks, various forms, ancient trees, lush forest, many waterfalls and flowing springs, and many kinds of rare birds and animals.

Geography

Guiqing Mountain National Forest Park is located in caotan Township, Zhangxian County, Gansu Province, historically known as "Guiqing fairyland". It is composed of two scenic spots, Guiqing mountain and Guiqing gorge. It is the first natural landscape scenic spot in Gansu Province, 36 kilometers away from Zhangxian county. In the scenic area, there are many peaks, various forms, ancient trees, lush forest, many waterfalls and flowing springs, and many kinds of rare birds and animals.

Animal and plant resources

There are 99 species of trees and shrubs in 29 families, more than 500 species of medicinal plants, and more than 200 mu of thousand year old pines in Zen forest alone. There are more than 20 kinds of national protected animals, such as leopard, bear, Sumen antelope, red bellied pheasant and blue eared pheasant.

The natural landscape of Guiqing mountain is unique: the three peaks are surrounded by green, the mountains are towering, the pines and waves are magnificent, the pool is clear, the water is immortal, and the Zen garden is full of poetry. Guiqing gorge is connected with the top of the mountain by a ladder and a stone stack. The whole Canyon is 8 kilometers long from north to South and only 60 meters wide from east to west. Shili Guiqing gorge is just like Shili gallery. In the gorge, there are many wonderful peaks, streams, trees and waterfalls. It is very beautiful.

Guiqing mountain is rich in historical sites. Built in the Longqing period of the Ming Dynasty, the ancient temples have a long history of incense. On April 8 of the lunar calendar, there are thousands of pilgrims. The chic Xuehe Buddhist temple has a long and ethereal bell in the Buddhist world. The wonderful Duanjian fairy bridge has a flying rainbow in the air and a detached artistic conception. Tieniu Zen master sits in Lingyan ancient cave, and Jiang Wei goes up to Mashi, which has been handed down from ancient times to modern times. Wang Xian, governor of Henan Province, who was born in Zhangxian county during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty, has been praised for his poem "ten scenes of the Qing Dynasty". Contemporary poems and inscriptions by Party and state leaders such as Song Ping, Wang Guangying, Lei Jieqiong, and political celebrities such as Jia Zhijie, Liu Bing, and Yang Zhilin add luster to the scenic spot.

Free policy

In February 2020, in order to pay tribute to the medical workers struggling in the front line of anti epidemic, the scenic spot will be free of charge for medical workers from the opening date of the park in 2020 to December 31, 2020.
