Synopsis

Liu Hong, director of the government's Poverty Alleviation Office, came to the mountainous areas to help the poor by transportation and wanted to find his grandfather who died in the mountainous areas of western Henan during the Anti Japanese war. Seeing that the plank road of hongshiping is suspended, she is determined to build a fast track for the mountain area. However, the villagers of hongshiping village are very indifferent to Liu Hong's arrival and want to drive her out of the village. In the face of all kinds of difficulties from the villagers, Liu Hong's determination remains unchanged. Shangen has been guarding the grave for 60 years. Unexpectedly, the martyr's grave is Liu Hong's grandfather. In order to build a mountain road and get through Yingchou cliff, Liu Hong did not hesitate to move his relatives to another place to support the construction of the mountain area, but failed to move Shangen. It was not until Zhang Hao, Secretary of the county Party committee, accompanied Liu Hong to take his father's ashes back to hongshiping for burial beside his grandfather that Shangen woke up like a dream. Hongshiping was trapped by the road and became rich because of the road. Since then, the economic outlook of the mountainous area has been fundamentally changed.
