Shoushan village is located in the northern suburb of Fuzhou City, about 28 kilometers away from the city. Surrounded by mountains, it is like lying in the arms of mountains. Founded in February 2001, the stone Museum covers an area of about 12 mu, with a construction area of 3100 square meters and an investment of 5 million yuan for the main project. The exhibition function is mainly composed of three exhibition areas, namely: Shoushan stone exhibition hall, gathering more than 100 varieties of Shoushan stone, reflecting Shoushan stone mining history of more than 1000 years; Shoushan famous artists and famous carving exhibition hall, displaying the representative works of celebrities in different historical periods, etc.

The appearance of the building adopts the characteristics of Fuzhou folk houses. The gray blue sloping roof is equipped with imitation forest roof truss components, and the gray wall is equipped with green glass windows, dotted with some traditional folk lattice windows, and the corridor is selected, so that the long and simple style of folk houses can be reflected in the Shoushan Stone Museum in the new era.
