Secret Cave Scenic Spot

Located in chechang village, Sikeshu Township, Lushan County, Henan Province, Mitong is an air force "big three line" combat readiness project built during the cold war period in the 1960s, which can prevent atomic bomb attacks. It is also the largest nuclear defense command project during the cold war period, preparing for the "big and early nuclear war". The secret cave is the most closely guarded military base in the cave. It is as strong as an iron wall. It can prevent the air explosion impact of 1 million tons equivalent atomic bomb and the direct hit attack of 1000 pounds bomb. It can also resist the damage of the earthquake with magnitude 8. The battle tunnel and communication tunnel were built in May 1967, completed in September 1970 and put into use in January 1971; the command tunnel was built in March 1968 and completed in August 1971, which took three and a half years. The secret cave is mainly composed of combat cave, command cave, communication cave and barracks.
