The exhibition content of Polaris clock culture museum will show the history, culture, interest, knowledge, art and technology of the clock. The museum is divided into six parts: the display of Chinese timing instruments, the display of scientific and technological clocks, the display of world treasures, the display of the history of Yantai clocks, the demonstration experience of clock assembly, and the tourist mall.

The Museum of watch culture will be built into a new business card and highlight of Yantai tourism market, making it an ideal place for sightseeing and shopping, and an important project for the construction of urban cultural facilities.

Yantai watch and clock museum is the only museum in China that systematically displays the history of watch and clock development. It was previously located at the site of the former Japanese Consulate in Yantai Mountain and hosted by Yantai Polaris group. The clock and watch Museum has started to move to Guangren street, a coastal scenic spot, named as the Polaris clock and watch culture museum.

Development history

On October 6, 2009, China's first watch Culture Museum, the Polaris watch Culture Museum, opened in Yantai, Shandong Province, with a construction area of 3000 square meters. There are three exhibition areas in the museum, including the evolution of China's timing instruments, the development of China's modern watch industry and the world's watch treasures. More than 500 original (restored) works of ancient and modern watches are displayed. The site of the museum is located in Yantai coastal scenic area. The house is rebuilt on the basis of modern buildings with a hundred years of history. The new museum will strengthen the function of the clock Museum, formerly known as Yantai clock Museum.
