Xincun port
Xincun port is located in the southeast of Xincun Town, Lingshui County, Hainan Province. It is 4 km long from north to South and 6 km wide from east to west, covering an area of 24 square kilometers. Xincun port is narrow and wide. It is surrounded by Nanwan Peninsula in the East and West. The harbor is calm and has good shelter conditions. It is a natural harbor with unique advantages. In 1990, it was designated as a national first-class fishing port by the Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China. Now it has been designated as a central fishing port and is one of the key fishing ports in the province.
There are four tonnage wharves in the port, which can accommodate 500 fishing boats of more than 60 tonnage. At present, there are 205 wooden motor-driven fishing boats in the town (including 66 fishing boats of more than 50 tons), with a total horsepower of 12450 and a total tonnage of 5700 tons. At present, the fishing boats in the town are mainly engaged in Dengwei, Dawei, liuci and fishing. There are 45 kinds of economic fish, including hairtail, pomfret, squid, tuna, golden thread, horseface, mud carp, green scale fish, lanyuanshen (Zhujing), etc. In 2005, the fishing output of the whole town reached 44945 tons, with an output value of 146.63 million yuan, an increase of 5% and 7% respectively.
