Kaiping people's Park, located in the south of Liangjin mountain, was built in the 1990s. In 2010, Kaiping municipal government transformed the park landscape and built a new comprehensive park integrating leisure, recreation and fitness.

Kaiping people's Park was built in the 1990s. Due to the long construction period, the old facilities and monotonous vegetation in the park, the park can not meet the needs of people's daily entertainment and leisure. In order to provide Kaiping citizens with a good place for sightseeing, recreation, leisure and fitness, in 2010, Kaiping municipal government upgraded the park landscape, including three major projects: square reconstruction, civil air defense and Youth Palace, and built a new comprehensive park integrating leisure, recreation and fitness, covering a total area of 400 mu with a total investment of about 134 million yuan.

Garden layout

At the gate of the people's Park, you can see the "entrance archway" built with red steel structure in the shape of a gate. Inside the archway is a large main entrance square. The outline of the square is in the form of "Diaolou". It enters from the bottom of the "Diaolou". The surrounding areas are distributed with characteristic waterscape, characteristic tree array, ladder square, central historical and cultural square and shallow water platform. The characteristic lotus pond and the park central landscape lake are located at the top of the "Diaolou".

Most of the buildings in the park have the shadow of a combination of Chinese and Western styles and the traces of watchtowers, with unique shapes and styles. In the design of the park, Ruishi building is used as the design parent and design element. For example, the archway adopts the Western arch form, but the roof style combination of Ruishi building is used for the details. The stainless steel structure adopts the revolving door style, but the Ruishi building is used in the middle; the pavilion adopts the western style stone roof or Spanish tile roof, but the Ruishi building style is used for hanging.

There are Huanyuan Road, Huanhu road and Xiaoyuan road in the people's Park. The roads connect various scenic spots into an organic whole, including square area, stage landscape area, ecological landscape area, sparse forest and grass area, wetland landscape area, flower display area, shady landscape area and sports fitness area. Around the road and square of the park, Diaolou screen, graffiti wall, iron railings, wood railings, stump speaker, statue of goddess of the four seasons, various landscape lamps, granite tables and stools are carefully arranged. The park is surrounded by mountains and waters, with flowers blooming in spring, lotus breezes in summer and Osmanthus fragrans in autumn. The natural environment is superior and the culture of overseas Chinese is rich, creating a relaxing and pleasant environment. It has become the most important place for Kaiping citizens to visit.
