Fengyan ancient temple

Fengyan ancient temple is the main part of Fenghuangshan scenic area, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side. The ancient temple is built on the south side of feiyunling, with the back of Yunding Aofeng and the front of the Pearl River Dragon Cave. It is full of auspicious atmosphere, fragrant forest and lush scenery. It is really a treasure land of dragons and phoenixes. On the left side of the temple are "Yanlou wanwang", "Jixin Xiuzhu" and "shiruqing Lake"; on the right side are "Yingshi nods", "Jingping salu" and "Changshou Xianjing"; on the front, you can listen to the rhythm of "Songjing organ" and on the back, you can see the wonder of "towering clouds"; the eight wonders of Fengyan are like stars holding the moon, tightly surrounding the ancient temple. The mountains and rocks are full of poems written by scholars of all ages. On the north side is the newly built luxury hotel building, and in front of it is the newly built Wanghai building. The whole scenic spot is full of tourists, cigarettes and firecrackers.

Shenfenghuangshan scenic spot is located in the mountains east of Fenghuang village, Fuyong Town, Bao'an District, with an altitude of 678 meters and a radius of 1.2 kilometers. Known as "Fengshan Fu Shui Fu Ying Di" reputation. Fengyan ancient Temple scenic spot is the main part of Fenghuangshan scenic spot. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side. The ancient temple is built on the south side of feiyunling, with a peak on the back and a Pearl River in front. It is a real treasure. It is said that the temple was built in the early Yuan Dynasty during the Dade period by Wen Yinglin, the great grandson of Wen Tianxiang, in memory of Wen Tianxiang. It has a history of more than 600 years. It is said that Wen Yinglin came here at the time of famine. In order to understand the disaster, he built a smoke tower on the top of the big Mao mountain. As long as he saw the village without smoke, he immediately sent people to help. One day, Wen Yinglin went out to check the disaster situation. When he came to Fengyan, he saw that the terrain was strange, the mountains were steep and beautiful, and there were many strange rocks. He planned to build a temple here to commemorate his great grandfather Wen Tianxiang. Just that night, he had another dream. He had a dream that Guanyin's mother asked him to build "Fengyan ancient temple" in Fengyan. Therefore, he raised money to build the temple, one for Guanyin's mother and the other for Wen Tianxiang. For this reason, for more than 600 years, residents and tourists from far and near like to come here to pray, and the temple has always been full of incense. There are Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall and Yinglin Pavilion in the temple to commemorate Wen's ancestors.

After fleeing to Fuyong Lingxia Village (today's Fenghuang community), Wen Yinglin did not forget to resist the Yuan Dynasty and Song Dynasty, and often practiced sword and martial arts on Fenghuang mountain. During the reign of emperor Xiaozong Hongzhi of the Ming Dynasty, Zheng Shizhong, a descendant of Wen Tianxiang's volunteers, was a Jinshi of Dezhong, and later went to Fengyan temple. Zheng Shizhong was grateful for the kindness of Guanyin Bodhisattva and carved a huge stone tablet on the right side of Fengyan temple, which is called "pure bottle sprinkles sweet dew". The stone tablet is still intact.

Now, from feiyunding of Fenghuang mountain to a small mountain depression along the ridge northward, there are several stones like sharpening knives. Although they have gone through the vicissitudes of time, wind, rain and sun, the sword front on them is still clearly visible. It is said that these stones were caused by Wen Yinglin's sword test at that time, and later generations called them "sword test stones".

The Fengyan temple, rebuilt in 1983, stands on the hillside of Fenghuang mountain, close to the mountain and the sea. The temple is magnificent, surrounded by cigarettes, and has become one of the important Buddhist cultural centers in Shenzhen and the surrounding areas.

In the stone rock on the right side of Fengyan temple, there are two towering huge stones overlapping each other, shaped like a palm, which was called "Hezhang stone" in ancient times. There is a hole in the palm of one's eye. There is a natural Dragon Robe seal on the wall of the hole, which forms a marvelous scene of the dragon wall. The shape is lifelike. Later generations call it "the Dragon Robe hanging on the wall". It is said that the imprint of the Emperor's Dragon Robe was left by Zhao Min, the young emperor of Song Dynasty. There are also some beautiful myths and legends on Fenghuang mountain, such as Yingshi nodding, Malan Xianyin, Changshou Xianjing, etc. For example, on the right side of the ancient temple, there is an independent heart-shaped Boulder, which is round on the top and wide on the bottom and about 4 meters high. On the stone wall, there is a cliff stone inscription with the word "phoenix dance". It is said that in the middle of the Dynasty, the old monk in the ancient temple wrote down his feelings when he saw the Phoenix dancing at night. Fenghuang mountain is 306 meters above sea level. Since the song and Yuan Dynasties, Fenghuang Mountain has been a scenic spot. Wen Tianxiang, a famous Minister of the Yuan Dynasty, left many stories in this area. Facing Fuyong is Lingdingyang, which leaves the famous sentence "who has no death in life since ancient times? Let's take the heart to shine on history". Fenghuang ancient village at the foot of Fenghuang mountain is the place where Wen Yinglin, the nephew of Wen Tianxiang, lived for 600 or 700 years. There are more than 60 ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties in this small village. It is one of the most concentrated, largest and best preserved ancient buildings in Shenzhen and even Guangdong.
