Du Xiangting Park

Duxiangting park is located in Yinfeng road. It was built in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It was once a gathering place of literati and poets in Guanyi at that time. The ancestral hall of Zhang Gong beside the pavilion is the former residence of Zhang Bozhen, a famous scholar in Dongguan City in Qing Dynasty, which records the history of Nancheng.

Since 2003, the district office, Shenghe community and Tianjia community have invested 5.5 million yuan in the restoration of Duxiang Pavilion and Difu Zhanggong temple. At present, the rebuilt duxiangting park is full of winding paths and continuous fragrance of flowers, which makes people reverie. It reproduces the beautiful scenery of "Pavilion surrounded by water, mixed trees, lotus fragrance, rice fragrance, litchi fragrance, hundred flowers fragrance, all around, four seasons continuous". It also adds Pavilion corridor and lotus pool, and widely plants flowers and trees, which makes duxiangting park a window of Lingnan culture in the late Qing Dynasty, It also provides a good place for leisure and entertainment for the masses.
