Introduction: the Institute of physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of Physics) was founded in 1928 by the Institute of physics of the National Central Academy of Sciences and in 1929 by the Institute of physics of the Peking Academy of Sciences. In 1950, the Institute of Applied Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was established on the basis of the merger of the two institutes. So far, more than 50 academicians have worked in the Institute of physics, including Wu Youxun, Zhao Zhongyao, Yan Jici, Wu Jianxiong, Qian Sanqiang and other famous scientists.
