Huyuan Township
Huyuan township is a township under the jurisdiction of Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located at the southernmost end of Fuyang District, at the junction of the four counties and cities, Southeast of Shaoxing Zhuji City and Jinhua Pujiang County, west of Hangzhou Tonglu County, north of Chang'an Town and evergreen Town, township government is located in Xinyi village, 33 km away from Fuyang City in the north, which is the South Gate of Fuyang district.
Huyuan is a typical agricultural ecological town with more mountains and less land. It is formed by the combination of Yuanhuyuan and Yaokou, covering an area of 127.75 square kilometers. In 2013, Huyuan Township changed from 27 administrative villages to 10 administrative villages after the scale adjustment. According to the development trend of new rural construction in the future, four central villages, namely Xinyi, Yaokou, Xinsan and Xinlv, were established. At present, Xinyi and Yaokou villages have completed the planning and design of the central village.
On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Huyuan township as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

Huyuan township is located at the southernmost end of Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The natural vegetation is luxuriant, mainly pine, fir, moso bamboo and firewood charcoal; the soil is mostly red soil and sandy soil, suitable for planting potatoes, tea, bamboo shoots, chestnuts, persimmons and red bayberry; the precious wild plants are Taxus chinensis var. mairei and Dendrobium officinale; the wild animals are wild boar, yellow muntjac, pangolin, Agkistrodon acutus and grouper.

During the period of the Republic of China, it was Qihe township. When the democratic government was established in 1950, it was XIAGAN Township and Xinhua township. In 1956, the four townships of XIAGAN, Xinhua, Qihe and Shima formed Huyuan township. In 1958, Huyuan commune was established. In 1981, Huyuan commune was divided into three parts, and its jurisdiction was still Huyuan commune. In 1984, it was renamed Huyuan township. Huyuan was originally Huyuan, named after the stream. Huyuan native paper
Huyuan township is famous for its rich production of local paper. It has a long history of making bamboo and paper all over Japan. There is a record in Fuyang county annals written by Guangxu of Qing Dynasty that "the people of the city lead the papermaking industry, the old and the young work hard, day and night". In history, famous handmade bamboo and paper products have been produced. Bamboo and paper manufacturing technology has a history of more than 1000 years. It is made from tender moso bamboo of that year through 72 processes, such as whiting, submerging, steaming, rinsing, mashing and papermaking.
The main varieties are Yuanshu, Jingfang, Gaojiu, Haifang and Huajian. Among them, Yuan Shu paper is famous for its clean, flexible, smooth writing, unswerving ink and long-term storage. In 1992, the county CPPCC organized four paper farmers from Xinsan village to Japan to teach local paper manufacturing technology and carry out cultural exchanges between China and Japan. Huyuan native paper has always been the main agricultural and sideline products of the township, and the main source of farmers' income. In 1998, the township engaged in the paper industry labor force of more than 1000 people, more than 200 paper trough, annual output of 40000 pieces, annual output value of more than 6 million yuan.
In 2005, only new two and new three in the city still keep this tradition, and handmade Yuan paper has become a rarity. In order to save this dying folk traditional handmade papermaking process, Fuyang city declared the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects in Zhejiang Province in September 2005.

Li Shending (1954-1990), a native of xinercun. He enlisted in the army in January 1975, joined the party in October 1977, and retired in April 1978. He once served as Deputy Secretary of the village Party branch, member of the committee, commander of the militia company, and the eighth and ninth Township People's representatives. On August 31, 1990, xiner village was hit by a torrential rain. At 3 p.m., Li Shending, who was directing the disaster relief work, heard the call of "Fenggen's house collapsed". He immediately rushed to the villager Zhou Fenggen's house, picked up Zhou's 2-year-old daughter, and took Zhou's wife out of the house. Then he quickly led the masses to rescue the property.
All of a sudden, Li Shending found that the back wall of Zhou Fenggen's window frame was cracking and about to collapse. He rushed to Zhou Fenggen while shouting, pushed Zhou away, and then the back wall collapsed. Zhou Fenggen got out of danger, but Li Shending was buried by the collapsed back wall and gave his young life. The county Party Committee recognized Li Shending as an excellent Communist Party member. On March 15, 1991, the provincial people's Government approved Li Shending as a revolutionary martyr.
