Chaoyang paleontological fossil Museum covers an area of 12300 square meters, with earth hall, science popularization hall, dinosaur hall, fossil exhibition hall of Jehol biota, fossil exhibition hall of ancient plants and silicified woodworking art exhibition hall, displaying nearly 1000 fossil specimens. The fossil specimens include invertebrates, insects, spiders, fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, dinosaurs, pterosaurs, mammals, ancient plants, etc. The exhibits are exquisite, rich in content and equipped with 370 drawing boards.

The theme of the first floor of the Fossil Museum is the origin of the earth. It mainly displays dinosaur fossils, various minerals, the basic knowledge of the formation and change of the earth, and can also experience volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. The second floor mainly displays the fish, birds, plants, insects and other fine fossils. The third floor is the origin of mammals, birds and human fossils.
