Ruan Kan, also known as Ruan company, has the characters of de Ru and de Shu. Chen Liu was born in Weishi County, Henan Province. Friendship with Ji Kang

Ruan Kan had a close relationship with Ji Kang. In his farewell poem, Ji Kang advised him not to get involved in politics so as to bring disaster to his whole body. In answering his poems, Ruan Kan expressed his gratitude for Ji Kang's "good teachings" on the one hand. On the surface, he seemed to completely agree with Ji Kang's opinions.
