The City College of Wuhan University of science and technology was established in 2002 with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is an independent college at the undergraduate level with independent legal personality.

The college is located in the beautiful East Lake of Wuhan City, close to Wuhan railway station. Currently, it covers an area of 860 mu, with a total asset value of nearly 1 billion yuan and a construction area of nearly 500000 square meters.
