Caofeidian vocational and technical college is a full-time general college approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is also the only international college in China where UNESCO has set up the "world vocational education and training base".

The school is a shared university with the location advantage of "Beijing's sea port, capital's new space", a model University of Caofeidian International Vocational Education City in Beijing, and a collaborative University of Beijing Tianjin Hebei collaborative development demonstration zone.
