Hunan Preschool Teachers College

Hunan preschool teachers college is a full-time public college approved by the provincial people's government and registered by the Ministry of education in 2013. The school is upgraded from the former Changde normal school and Taoyuan normal school. At present, the new campus is under construction in the municipal culture, education and Science Park.

The former Taoyuan Normal University was founded in 1912 by the famous democratic revolutionist Song Jiaoren, which has lasted for 100 years; the former Changde Normal University was founded in 1947. The school is the national advanced normal school, the excellent training base of the national preschool dance quality and ability training project, the training base of primary and kindergarten teachers in Hunan Province, the research base of preschool education in Hunan Province, the national advanced vocational education unit and the provincial cultural unit. The University and Pipa Lake University are friendly schools. Over the past 100 years, the school has provided more than 70000 talents for the society. Famous writers Ding Ling, poet Weiyang and vice governor Li Youzhi are outstanding representatives of alumni.

The school covers an area of 723 mu, and the building area of the old campus is more than 120000 square meters. The total value of instruments and equipment is more than 19.4 million yuan, the collection of books is 277000, there are 33 pre-school education training rooms and special classrooms for art, music and dance, 7 multi-media classrooms, 4 voice laboratories, and teaching facilities are all ready. At present, there are 7 normal education majors at the tertiary level, such as preschool education and primary education, and 5 vocational education majors at the secondary level, such as tourism service and management, art design and production. The school has 327 teaching staff, including 128 professors and associate professors, 56 postgraduates, 12 provincial and municipal discipline leaders, and 16 super teachers.
