Minbei vocational and Technical College

Minbei vocational and technical college was officially established on February 26, 2004 with the approval of Fujian Provincial People's government. It is a full-time public higher vocational school sponsored by Nanping Municipal People's government and managed by Provincial Department of education. The college, formerly known as Jianyang normal school, was founded in 1929.

In May 2005, Nanping Municipal Party committee and government decided to move Minbei vocational and Technical College from Jianyang to Nanping Jiangnan New Area Vocational Education Park. The new campus is planned to use 500 mu of land, with a total construction area of 100000 square meters, of which the construction area of phase I project is 60000 square meters, which was put into use in June 2009. With reasonable layout, complete functions, beautiful environment, the school is an ideal place for reading, studying and living.

At present, the college has 6 departments, including food and bioengineering department, management department, art and communication department, information and Engineering Department, and Applied Foreign Languages Department. It has 17 Higher Vocational Majors with big market demand and good employment prospects, such as food nutrition and testing, mechanical design and manufacturing, and Tourism Management. The college has a group of teachers with strong strength, rich experience and reasonable structure. Among them, 23% are teachers with senior titles above associate professor, 38% are teachers with master's degree, and a large number of craftsmen from enterprises and industries are employed as part-time teachers.

The college inherits the excellent school running tradition, implements the school running concept of "having a job, being dedicated, enjoying work, and starting a business", adheres to the school running orientation of "based on Northern Fujian, serving the west coast of the Straits, and cultivating high-quality skilled talents for the construction of the green hinterland of the west coast of the Straits" and focuses on promoting the development of electronic information, manufacturing, light textile and food, and modern logistics according to the social needs Construction of four major professional groups, including service.

The school adheres to the employment oriented, actively deepens the reform of higher vocational talent training mode with the combination of work and study as the breakthrough, vigorously promotes the teaching mode of "combination of work and study" and "project oriented" with the integration of "teaching, learning and doing", and comprehensively improves the students' vocational ability; the school implements "double certificate" education, establishes 7 national vocational skill appraisal stations, and the students graduate with college diploma The school has three productive training bases on campus, and relies on large and medium-sized enterprises inside and outside the province to establish a stable off campus training base.

The University adheres to open education and actively expands foreign exchanges and cooperation. It has signed inter school cooperation agreements with dozens of science and technology universities such as West Coast Polytechnic of Australia and BSK international education institution of Germany. Through the selective examination, it has selected outstanding students to study for undergraduate or vocational and technical training in Australia and Germany. The college has also established exchanges and cooperation with Nanrong Institute of technology and other Taiwan vocational colleges, and has carried out extensive cooperation projects such as teacher training, student visits, and textbook construction.

The college attaches great importance to the employment recommendation of graduates. It has established the employment Committee and Employment Guidance Center for graduates, equipped with specialized employment guidance teachers, set up employment guidance courses, and established internship network in Shanghai, Fuzhou, Xiamen and other coastal developed areas and Singapore.
